How Long Does a Website Take to Build?
How long your website takes depends on scope, how fast you give feedback, and project complexity. We break down realistic timelines for landing pages, multi-page sites, ecommerce stores, and redesigns.
Typical timelines by project type
Landing pages take about 2 weeks. Multi-page business sites run 3 to 5 weeks. Ecommerce stores need 5 to 8 weeks. Website redesigns land around 4 to 6 weeks.
These assume you return feedback within 2 business days and your content is ready or included in our writing scope.

What happens each week
Week 1 covers discovery, content gathering, and wireframes. Week 2 brings design mockups and your first revision round.
Weeks 3 and 4 focus on development and content population. Week 5 handles testing, QA, and launch prep. Ecommerce adds 2 to 3 weeks for product setup and payment testing.

What slows a website project down
Slow client feedback is the biggest delay. Waiting two weeks for revision notes adds two weeks to your launch date.
Content that is not ready, scope changes mid-project, and third-party integrations with slow API access also push timelines back.

Process
Five phases of every website project
- 01
Discovery and planning
Strategy call, sitemap, content outline, and wireframes. You approve structure before design starts.
- 02
Design
High-fidelity mockups for key pages. Revision rounds based on your package. No coding until design is approved.
- 03
Development
Responsive code, forms, integrations, and content population. We test on multiple devices during this phase.
- 04
QA and launch prep
Cross-browser testing, speed optimization, SEO checks, and DNS setup. You review a staging URL before go-live.
- 05
Launch and support
Go live, submit sitemap to Google, and hand off analytics access. 30 days of post-launch support included.
